He received a regional Society of Professional Journalists recognition for solutions reporting. Off duty he trails runs and tends a small pollinator garden. At Eco News Media he sets editorial standards, coaches writers, leads special projects, and ensures every story delivers clear value.

Elijah Lucas – Clean Energy How-To Editor
Elijah earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with coursework in building systems and has 8 years in efficiency consulting and consumer energy writing. He specializes in heat pumps, home weatherization, solar and storage, and practical retrofit planning. His homeowner checklists have been highlighted by community energy programs for clarity. He is a weekend woodworker and a keyboard tinkerer. Elijah manages the how to pipeline, validates instructions across housing types, and maintains our calculator templates for costs and savings.
